Ryan’s passion for IT is as a means to unleash creative endeavors. He is an open source developer, community evangelist and trend spotter who harnesses his experience in project management, web applications, and interactive design to build markets for businesses, and users for web sites. Ryan’s days are spent developing products and designing creative solutions for clients using Drupal, answering questions for Drupal users, building a regional network of creative individuals with practical ambitions, designing web pages and application back-ends, and sharing his knowledge of Drupal as a tool with businesses and individuals.

Ryan has implemented and maintained high-traffic websites such as PopSci.com using Drupal 5 and 6, Wordpress, Zend Framework and Web Services, developed new sites with editorial workflows and user-generated content, consulted on Drupal best practices for custom module development, source control management, eCommerce and website administration. He tutors, consults and runs training programs for Drupal, PHP, Podcasting and Social Media and originally created the DrupalEasy.com blog.

His ability to grok business processes and workflows give him an edge in developing software solutions for users that focus on meeting their expectations and goals. He designs user interface and features for diverse markets and purposes, including pet social networking, national magazines, online communities, and creative networks. His expertise includes customizing and theming in Drupal to specifications (since 4.7), including developing and maintaining custom modules, overseeing security, social media, and search capabilities.

In addition to running a network of podcasts and blogs relating to creative individuals, he also coordinates Florida Creatives, a group that engages artistic innovators to build a foundation of smart, resourceful professionals in Central Florida. He earned his BA in Digital Media: Internet and Interactive Systems for the University of Central Florida.

Practical, efficient and cost-effective content management solutions have earned Mike his stellar reputation among clients and the IT community. He makes projects as easy as possible for management, staff and the end-users, an ability that comes after years of experience in software development for research organizations, businesses, and government agencies, as well as an extensive engineering background. His meticulous project management approach keeps everyone comfortable with the process.

As a Drupal developer and consultant, he specializes in custom modules, theme integration, and project management, and has worked on over a dozen Drupal sites including OffRoadAtlas.com, FieldandStream.com, Ozmosis.com and educational and political web sites with active social communities. He has contributed several Drupal Modules and is an active member of the Drupal community.

His passion for training comes from his constant recruiting of talented designers and themers to master Drupal so his pool of talented collaborators grows with his client base. His aptitude for educating comes from a long history of training that started out when he was a graduate student assistant, teaching engineering courses at Florida Tech to his appointment as an adjunct at the university.

Michael’s career began as a research engineer with a nationally-recognized research institution as the lead developer of a widely-used software application for buildings energy research. After nationwide commercial deployment of the software, his reputation for solid planning, attention to detail and fast project turn-around provided demand for his services and the impetus for his consulting career and foray into training.

Andrew is the Associate Director of Software Development at MindComet, a Central Florida based Interactive Agency. He brings with him an extensive knowledge of software development disciplines from years of study as well as working on large software projects for multiple Fortune 500 companies.
