Up-and-Coming Drupal Hotspot? Florida's Drupal Community is on a Roll!

Published August 13, 2009

The Drupal community in Florida has been steadily gaining momentum this year, and if the next week or so are any indication, there are no signs of slowing down.

Starting with our hugely successful DrupalCamp back in February (attended by over 100 people) to meetups in various cities since then, Florida Drupalers are starting to really get a sense of how vibrant our local Drupal community actually is.

The next week has no less than three Drupal-related events in the Sunshine State:

In addition, no less than five Florida Drupalers (including yours truly) will be attending DrupalCon Paris in a couple of weeks. If you're from Florida and will be attending (and you haven't already talked to me about the 'con), please leave a comment below or via our contact page.

Finally, congrats go out to Florida-based Erik Baldwin of Cloud NYNE Design (and one of DrupalEasy's design and theming consultants) for having his DrupalCon Paris t-shirt design selected as one of the 3 official "collector" shirts. Erik is one of the core members of the central Florida group and was one of the organizers of DrupalCamp Florida back in February. Congrats, Erik!
