DrupalEasy Podcast 19: Michael Peacock Interview, Author of "Drupal 6 Social Networking"

Mike Anello interviews Michael Peacock, author of Drupal 6 Social Networking from Packt Publishing. They discuss how Drupal, combined with various contributed modules, can build very effective social networking web sites. They also discuss how the book is also a very good reference for Drupal core in general. Finally, they talk about the User Relationships module and how it can be a very helpful tool in a Drupal developer's toolbox.

We'll be giving away two free copies of the book. User relationships is a great module. I don't have this book, yet, but have been considering it. There's so many social networking modules and it's interesting to see how the same subject can be tackled in so many different ways.

Knowing which modules to use for social networking functionality has always been a challenge for me!

Just dropping my name in the hat for the book drawing. I really like your interviews with all of the authors of Drupal books. Hopefully my name will get pulled this time.

It sure wasn't easy logging in to your site with OpenID, but I'm glad I finally managed it. :-)

The way you presented the first 5–6 really made me interested in the book.
Here's my name for the hat of possible winners of a copy of the book: Johan Falk.

Cheers!

No answer here, no answer on Twitter. I wonder if this contest was for real?

Just seemed very strange that you announce a contest in a post and don't put any date on when it ends and there's no word for weeks. Seemed like maybe you weren't very serious about it.
