Designed to introduce existing Drupal developers as well as (non-Drupal) PHP developers to some of the techniques and concepts for Drupal 8 module development. The workshop includes an overview of some of the main concepts and tools as well as several hands-on module development exercises designed to build knowledge and confidence. 

Mastering Professional Drupal Developer Workflows with Pantheon

Tuesday, May 23, 2017 - Thursday, June 29, 2017 (classes meet Tuesdays & Thursdays 1:30 - 5:00 pm EDT)

Understanding the core fundamentals of Drupal can become really powerful when combined with the ability to leverage efficient development workflows. This class builds on Drupal fundamentals to teach students how to effectively work on a multi-environment, team-based project by effectively leveraging the Pantheon platform, including lessons on integrating with Solr search, configuration management, and Pantheon's command line and other tools.

The DCO is a 12-week comprehensive course in Drupal development that provides strong foundations in Drupal best practices through lively instruction, hands on exercises, rich learning resources and co-working lab sessions. This course is designed to help students become entry level site developers and maintainers armed with core understanding of workflows, key Drupal technologies, and how to best leverage the Drupal community.
