Professional Local Development with DDEV - 2 hour workshop

Tuesday, November 10, 2020 1:00 – 3:00 pm EDT

This 2-hour, live, online workshop introduces students to DDEV, a Docker-powered local development environment built on modern principles and designed to be flexible, customizable, and powerful. It covers installing DDEV-Local, commonly-used commands, as well as a hands-on exercise demonstrating how to get an existing site up-and-running.

Students will also be provided access to a 20+ page handout and more than 10 screencasts demonstrating various DDEV-Local functionality.

The DCO is a 12-week comprehensive course in Drupal development that provides strong foundations in Drupal best practices through lively instruction, hands on exercises, rich learning resources and co-working lab sessions. This course is designed to help students become entry level site developers and maintainers armed with core understanding of workflows, key Drupal technologies, and how to best leverage the Drupal community.
